The purposes for which the corporation is organized are exclusively charitable, educational, and consist of the following:
- To provide for the betterment of the South Jersey community through a commitment to address emerging community concerns and problems as they relate to the community's youth
- To Have and exercise all powers necessary or convenient to effect any or all of the purposes for which the corporation is organized which are allowed pursuant to the New Jersey Non-Profit Corporation Act, N.J.S.A. 15A:1-1 et seq. to the extent such activities are allowable under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code, or applicable provision of any subsequent law.

The DOT Organization, Inc. was established in March 2005 to implement the educational and informational processes needed to address the emerging issues and concerns of South Jersey communities. The vision of this Non-Profit Corporation is to eliminate and/or reduce both visible and invisible problem areas by providing positive influences, heightening awareness of educational and economic empowerment opportunities, and building bridges between home, school, and the community. With the dedication, insight, experience, expertise of its leaders, The DOT Organization, Inc. will lead community residents through required processes so that they can benefit from state, local, and federal resource opportunities.
